Young Diagnostic Imaging provides a wide range of diagnostic services, including x-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, Bone Mineral Densitometry, MRI and minimally invasive procedures. 

You can submit a booking request online here or call us to make a booking. You are welcome to walk in for x-rays without an appointment.

Where clinically appropriate, yes. With a broad range of modalities available onsite, we can often coordinate multiple scans to reduce the need for separate appointments.

Young Diagnostic Imaging uses a 1.5T MRI scanner featuring immersive visual technology and ComfortOne noise reduction to ensure the most comfortable experience for patients. Our MRI scanner uses advanced imaging technology to deliver superb image quality and shorten scan times by 50%.

An MRI scan generally take 30-60 minutes, while CT scans are usually quicker and can be performed in 10-20 minutes. 

Yes, you’re welcome to bring a support person with you to your appointment. In some cases, they may be asked to wait in the reception area during your scan to ensure safety and privacy.

We’ll send your results to your referring doctor, who will discuss them with you and guide you on the next steps in your care. Your images and reports will be available in the Alpenglow Australia Patient App approximately 7-10 days after your scan. Click here to learn more.

X-ray

At Young Diagnostic Imaging, we offer walk-in x-ray services for a variety of general imaging needs. Our advanced digital technology ensures that each image is clear and of high quality, aiding in accurate diagnoses and quick treatment planning.

Ultrasound

We provide a range of ultrasound services, performed by skilled sonographers and interpreted by expert radiologists. Ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive imaging technique that uses sound waves to produce real-time images, making it suitable for all patients, including pregnant women. Our ultrasound services at our Young clinic include:

• Pregnancy ultrasound – including dating, morphology, and growth scans.
• Elastography – used to assess liver tissue stiffness.
• Vascular ultrasound – to assess blood flow and detect issues like DVT or carotid artery conditions.
• Pelvic ultrasound - for gynaecological and abdominal imaging.
• Musculoskeletal ultrasound - to assess joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments.

CT scan

Young Diagnostic Imaging offers general CT scan services using modern low-dose imaging technology to deliver detailed diagnostic images with reduced radiation exposure. These scans assist in evaluating a broad range of health conditions, enabling accurate and efficient diagnosis. Our experienced team ensures each scan is performed with care, prioritising your safety and comfort.

MRI

Our MRI services offer high-resolution imaging of soft tissues, such as muscles, ligaments, nerves, and internal organs. MRI is essential for diagnosing a variety of conditions, from neurological and musculoskeletal issues to internal organ concerns. We ensure detailed imaging for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.

Interventional Radiology

At Young Diagnostic Imaging, we offer a range of interventional radiology services, including joint injections, nerve root blocks, and PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy. These minimally invasive, image-guided procedures help manage pain and treat a variety of conditions. 

BMD (Bone Mineral Densitometry)

We provide BMD scans to assess bone mineral density and evaluate fracture risk. These quick, low-dose x-rays help diagnose conditions like osteoporosis and monitor long-term bone health, ensuring that patients can take proactive steps in maintaining their bone strength.
